South Yorkshire
S6 4TE

This pleasant, easy ride is a great introduction to the Wheel Do It! group and is intended for those of you who have recently joined us or want to improve on your ability to get up a hill. The Damflask Hill has 4 laybys on it which makes it easy to stop and take a breath before continuing. We'll set off from the beginning of Loxley Road just past the Traffic lights and climb steadily up Loxley Road past the Admiral Rodney and onwards until we reach Damflask Reservoir. From there we climb up the Damflask hill and take a lane that leads us down the side of the reservoir to Low Bradfield, where we'll stop for coffee outside the Flask End café. After that, we ride back along the flat side of Damflask and return to the start. As on any of our rides, we'll take our time and there is no pressure to go faster than you want to. We never leave anyone behind and we have designated places to stop if we need to! So I hope you will join us on this ride and enjoy the scenery that is breath taking. Best Betty-Ann

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS
This ride is limited to a maximum of six participants. Please do not attend if you have COVID symptoms (new, persistent cough; fever; loss of sense of smell or taste) or if any of your household has symptoms or is isolating. Maintain social distance throughout the ride, including at the start/finish and the café stop. Bring a facemask for use at the café stop.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS
We recommend that all participants wear a helmet. Please make sure you wear appropriate clothing for the weather. As usual we do expect you to have ensured your bike is roadworthy and that you have carried out basic pre-ride checks; we recommend that you also carry at least one spare inner tube, a pump (CO2 inflators are also highly recommended). It is also a good idea to carry a spare chain link that matches your bike’s chain (e.g. 9, 10 or 11 speed). If you have a mechanical problem we will do our best to assist you and/or lend you an inner tube or repair kit if we can, but it is always best to be self-reliant. Don’t forget to bring money for refreshments and a mobile phone.
