This ride is part of a series for people who are new to cycling or maybe haven't been out on a bike for a while. It is a great introduction to the friendly mixed Wheel Do It! group, which for the last year has been running rides designed to gradually encourage people to ride further and climb higher at a pace everyone is comfortable with. We'd love to have you join us! The ride starts with a steady climb up Loxley Road before passing the Nag's Head and to the right of Damflask Reservoir, up a hill and then down the northern side of the reservoir to Low Bradfield. After passing through the village, we turn left at The Plough and ride along the southern side of Damflask. We then turn left and head back up the hill for a second lap. At the end of first loop, there is an option to stop at the café while those who want to go around again can keep going. However many laps you do, we’ll all end up at the café. IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS We recommend that you wear a helmet. Please make sure you wear appropriate clothing for the weather. As usual we do expect you to have ensured your bike is roadworthy and that you have carried out basic pre-ride checks; we recommend that you also carry at least one spare inner tube, a pump (CO2 inflators are also highly recommended). If you have a mechanical problem we will do our best to assist you and/or lend you an inner tube or repair kit if we can, but it is always best to be self-reliant. Don’t forget to bring money for refreshments and a mobile phone. DISCLAIMER This is a purely social group of like-minded people sharing a love of cycling, it is not a formal organisation nor does it have any form of legal structure. We do not profess to be trained ride leaders but do have experience of doing so. You are free to choose to ride with us but in doing so please note that you do so in acceptance that this is entirely at your own risk. We cannot accept responsibility for any loss or injury suffered as a result of your participation. Please also read the terms and conditions on the website.
