WGC to Wheathampstead Village Festival

This is a ride for novices or nervous returnees, children, or anyone who would like a short, easy bike ride with the emphasis on social. (Note children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.)

We will ride along the Ayot Greenway, a traffic free old railway line from Welwyn Garden City to Wheathampstead. We will spend a bit of time at the Wheathampstead Village Day, find a cafe for coffee and eats, then return by the same route. There is a bit of info about the Village Day here.

This is a great ride to bring the kids as there is plenty to see and do at the Village Day and it’s a distance that most able children will manage.

We will meet at Campus West car park in Welwyn Garden City and depart at 11am. This gives us plenty of time to get there before the parade at 1pm. Parking costs are available here.

Please bring a lock, water, suitable clothing, suncream if it is hot.
