Starting point

Devon
PL7 1SR

We will leave Cot Hill westward and turn into Saltram Park where we will undulate our way to Stag Lodge. We then turn left and climb up to Ridge Road on our way to Deep Lane and crossing over the busy Hercules Road back on to the quiet lane to Blackpool (bucket and spade not required) and winding our way to Yealmbury Hill. It’s a sharp left and then right as we cruise through Yealmbridge to the A379 and a short stay before tackling the climb of the evening up Orchard Hill on the NCN route. It’s now a fairly flattish roll to Westlake where we turn northwards briefly before heading towards Ermington. At the top of a climb we take an unsigned narrow lane to start a steep plunge down to Higher Keaton over the River Erme and head into Ivybridge for a choice of routes through the town as we gallop up the cycle path to the Hunting Lodge. Refreshed it’s the familiar path to follow via Lee Mill, Smithaleigh and the Ridgeway delivering us back to our rendezvous point.
