West Haddon Breeze Gravel Ride to Salcey Forest

"A fragment of a former medieval hunting forest situated to the east of the village of Hartwell, Salcey Forest is located just 7 miles from the centre of Northampton. Wildlife and history are in abundance at Salcey, so come and discover this ancient semi-natural woodland for yourself on foot, bike, or horseback."

Part of our series of Breeze Through Winter Rides, the Salcey Gravel Ride has been arranged to compliment the Road Ride from Denton on the same day and we will all be meeting in the Salcey Forest Cafe to enjoy a cuppa and a bit of banter together. Cake is not compulsory but certainly advised!!

With an approx 60/40 split between hard packed bridleway/ cycle path and very quiet country lanes, this ride will focus on enjoying what Salcey's cycle trail has to offer as the neighbouring fields, bridleways and canal paths are simply too wet to use at the moment (but promise the possibility of High Adventure for the Summer!)

Expect to get muddy, so please wear suitable clothing and mudguards will be appreciated by the person behind you.
