This is a fantastic ride, prepared & researched by one of our new Ride Leaders, Shane Blackmore. Shane has changed it slightly based on feedback, so this time it should be even better. We're starting on one of Lancasters cycle paths, looping around the River Lune before heading for Gressingham & Capenwray before riding through Carnforth & then having some cake overlooking the sea in Bolton Le Sands. From there it's down the coast to Morecambe, on to Heysham & then looping back to the Lune & the cycle path back to the start. There are some lumps on this ride, but nothing too dramatic at 300 feet. We'll all do the hills at our own pace, and reform at the top. This is Shane's first route & I'm sure we're all looking forward to a great ride in a new area. Please check your bike over the night before the ride, tyres inflated, all bolts tight, lubricated. Clothing, Helmet & lights checked & ready. Please aim to be ready to ride 15 mins before the ride start time, getting away on time is good for everyone. This will be a lovely ride with something for everyone. We'll ride at a steady pace of 10-12 mph on this ride and we'll keep our pace at a level so that we can all stay together & have a really pleasant ride. We enjoy our cycling & appreciate it even more when we have people to ride with. Our group is called the FC's - Friendly Cyclists & you can read all about us & join the group here: https://www.goskyride.com/SCG/GroupDetails?GroupID=2197 Once you join the group you'll get an automatic invite for every ride, you will never miss a ride again!
