Part of the "Let's Ride Through Winter" campaign this will be a relaxed cycle and we will be meeting in front of the Queen Elizabeth Country Park visitor centre and riding out to Denmead for a hot drink.
This is an easy cycle for adults of any age. Those nervous or new to group cycling, are very welcome. We will have lots of stops and cycle at an easy pace.
The Let's Ride Through Winter cycling adventure is here to help you conquer the cold and beat the winter blues. The challenge will run from Thursday 26 December to Monday 31 March. All you need to do is join four Guided, Breeze or Community Group rides to complete the challenge.
As you ride through the winter landscape, you'll have a chance to win fantastic prizes. The more rides you complete, the more entries you'll get.
This ride is suitable for road bikes, hybrids/gravel bikes with road tyres and e-bikes.
The route will be a mix of cycle paths, quiet roads and some small sections on busier roads. There will be hills and these can be pedalled at your own pace, or walked up if the legs aren’t willing. We will have a cuppa when we get to our halfway point.
What you need to know:
- Meet in front of the Visitor Centre for 10am.
- Helmets are compulsory and please ensure your bike is road worthy before attending.
- The ride is self-supported, so bring a puncture repair kit, lights, snacks, water, and extra layers depending on the weather forecast.
- Remember money / payment card for food and parking (QECP is a cashless site).
- Parking charges apply at all times.
If you book a place then can’t make it, please remember to cancel.
If you have any questions you can get in touch by messaging the ride leader
