We leave Braishfield Pantry and village shop, go up Crook Hill and out of Romsey via Halterworth. We take the cycle path along the A27, turning down Rownhams Lane and from there to Hoe Lane. At the end of Hoe Lane we cross (with care) the busy A3057, taking the road to Lee and onward to the River Test. The return journey takes us past the Rapids, through the canal path, through Cupernham Lane, Sandy Lane and back to Braishfield. We'll probably stop for refreshment at the garden centre in Sandy Lane..

We are aiming for Lee - which is by the river Test. It is a fairly flat route but does involve short episodes on busy roads in order to cross from North to South of Romsey. We will make use of cycle ways where appropriate. We'll aim to call at the Rapids for our refreshment break.
