About the route
Starting at the Olympiad Leisure Centre in Chippenham, this flat circular route takes the old railway line towards Calne crossing the Avon River before heading towards the hamlet of Tytherton Lucas and towards Foxham on quiet country lanes before reaching the delightful village of Christian Malford which dates back to 940 AD.
We then retrace the out route to Chippenham via Avon through Monkton Park. The option of Coffee & Cake in the Tenth Hole Tea-room is available. The cafe is approx 200M away from the Olympiad car-park.
The pace of this cycle ride will be approx 10/12 miles per hour. It is suitable for women 16+ Please note, it is not suitable for children, whether on their own bikes or younger children in trailers.
Please arrive in the car park, approx 8.50am, so we can leave sharp at 9am.
