We will be cycling on mostly quiet country roads, although we may have to cross a few busier roads. Although this is classed as challenging, based upon the mileage, this will be nice and steady and we will ride at the speed of the slowest rider. No one will be left behind or abandoned in the event of a technical issue with their bike. You should be able to ride a bike and operate your gears and brakes safely. Social distancing will be observed throughout the ride. New riders are welcome.
You must not attend a ride if you have Covid-19 symptoms, have someone in your household who does, are in the extremely vulnerable category or if you have been asked to remain at home by the UK Government track and trace system.
Helmets are compulsory. Please bring a spare inner tube that fits your bike as well as tyre levers. As a result of social distancing we are unable to all muck in in the event of a puncture or technical problem and you will be expected to do it yourself with advice or call a member of your household to help out. Cycling glasses and gloves are strongly recommended.
We will be starting and finishing the ride from the Powercycle shop where Tubs cafe is now open for coffee and cake after the ride. As it is a shop they ask that face coverings are used whilst ordering at the counter and that you fill in contact details for track and trace. Only contactless payment is accepted. We will still take rest breaks as needed.
Hand sanitiser should be brought for use before, during and after you ride.
Masks are optional whilst riding. Please make sure that you can breathe comfortably. However, please bring a mask or face covering with you for your use in the event of injury requiring attention from the leader (who will also wear PPE).
