Sweets Tea Rooms Blakeway Wedmore Somerset

This ride takes us from Wedmore to the coast. Meeting at Sweets Tea Rooms, just outside Wedmore.  A friendly, informal café with freshly prepared food. Ideal for cyclists and nature lovers - near Westhay Nature Reserve between Wedmore & Westhay.
We will be taking on a section of the Great Weston Ride (a fabulous 56-mile challenge bike ride from Bristol to Weston-super-Mare that follows a spectacular route through the Mendips and across the Somerset Levels on 21 July 2013)  http://www.greatwestonride.com/index.htm

New faces are always welcome.

This is a 30 mile long ride, hilly in places but fairly flat, along a few main roads ideal for experienced riders.  We will be riding through the villages of Mark, Burnham, Brean, Brent Knoll and then back to Wedmore.

It's a good idea to bring some water and warm clothes/gloves at this time of the year, plus lots of energy!

Please bring some money if you want to buy refreshments afterwards when we get back, where there'll be time for more chat and a warming drink or bite to eat at the tea rooms.

Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.

Please ensure a mobile number is provided in case the road is cancelled due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
