#WEAREFIVE St Albans, Hatfield, Welwyn & Letchworth Garden Cities

Please note, this ride DOES NOT return to the same starting point. We will start in St Albans and we will finish in Letchworth Garden City. Our route will follow the Alban Way (NCN 61), a former railway line, from St Albans Abbey station to Hatfield. This stretch is fairly level and all offroad. From Hatfield we will branch off onto the Great North Way (NCN12) via Welwyn Garden City, Stevenage and Letchworth - the first Garden City built 1909, designed by Ebenezar Howard. This section will include a ride along a path through woods, along quiet country lanes, with a couple of hills to go up and down, and finishing in Broadway Gardens, Letchworth SG6 3TA, in time to enjoy the afternoon sessions of the Letchworth Grand Prix, part of the exciting Tour of Hertfordshire Series across Sundays in June & July for 2016. There will be races across all ages and categories including Go Race novice, vets and womens races until 6pm. There are trains from Letchworth to Kings Cross at 29 and 53 minutes past each hour, £12.50 off peak single There is a train from Watford Junction leaving 09:07 that gets into St Albans Abbey for 9:23am £5.10 off-peak return
