It will be a gentle ride along one of the first traffic-free cycle paths. No hills to climb here, but aimed at cyclists who want to go that little bit further. We can stop along the way to take photographs, enjoy the scenery with a pit stop at Naburn Station if needed. ‘Fast Food’ is available at the rally but your own packed lunch and drink is advisableBring a lock and something to carry home your purchases. Please note this is a 20 mile round trip in total. The scale model of the Solar System is spread out along 6.4 miles, a little over 10 km, of the old East Coast main-line railway. Although listed as a 'challenging' ride, this is due to the mileage and not the terrain. This is really a steady ride and no one will be left behind. There is parking at the Greyhound Inn, and also a small car park outside houses at the start of the cycle path approx. 1km north on York Road, Riccall. It is approx. 1hr 30mins drive from our usual starting point of Hirst Lock, Saltaire, but we may be able to arrange car share on a first come, first served basis if needed.
