Weald to The Ice-cream Farm

This route has a variety of traffic conditions including residential streets, busier roads and more rural lanes. It also includes some significant hills so participants need to confident in these environments.

We leave from the Parklife Cafe. Unfortunately, you won't be able to sample any pre-ride goodies as it doesn't open until 10:00am. The route starts with a climb to Bushey Heath before the descent of Little Bushey Lane. Then it's on to Letchmore Heath and Radlett (more climbing). We move on to Shenley (another climb) and Ridge ("undulations") before crossing the A1 to reach the Ice-cream Farm.

The return takes us through Borehamwood with a hill up to Barnet Lane. We enjoy the downhill of Edgwarebury Lane before heading back through Edgware and Canons Park.

Please check your bike before the ride and bring a spare innertube, water and a snack (or money to purchase one).

The time for the ride is a best estimate by the Ride Leader. Sometimes this can be affected by factors such as the weather, mechanical issues, the queue at the cafe, etc. We have a policy of leaving no rider behind so, if anyone is struggling, we will adjust the speed and take rest stops if necessary.
