Wayfield Park Farm Shop and Cafe, Pyecombe

This is a “closed” Breeze ride and participation is limited to riders who have joined us on the Rider Development series of coaching and rides in January and February 2015. We are also limiting the number of riders in order to keep the pace manageable and mood sociable. We will meet at the Wayfield Park Farm shop and Cafe in Pyecombe (car parking is available, or you can extend the ride by cycling up there first - but the Breeze ride will not start until we set off from Wayfields at 10:00am). If you want to get to the cafe early for breakfast, then do (they open at 09:30). We will NOT be stopping for a cafe stop once out on the ride, so we suggest you 'fuel up' before the ride, especially if you're not used to these distances. We'll follow the Sustrans Route 20 cycle path north to Albourne then take the B2116 across to Hurstpierpoint. From there, we follow country lanes through Twineham, Wineham, and Woodmancote before returning to Wayfields via a short stretch of the A281. You can see the route from our pre-ride of it here: https://connect.garmin.com/activity/711721454 Please give your bike a check over before you leave home, are the tyres pumped up? Are the gears and brakes working properly? Always carry a spare inner tube, puncture repair kit and a pump, just in case. Please also bring water and a snack. Wearing a helmet is compulsory on this ride. If you have any questions please text Alison: 07967 094967 or email : [email protected]
