Starting point

Hertfordshire

A gentle family friendly ride using cycle paths & quiet roads on the Cassiobury Estate & through Nascot Wood to the Secret Garden. This is a brilliant ride for anyone looking to gain confidence riding their bike on mainly quiet roads, to learn about some of the local cycle routes and find a lovely little-known place to retreat to - one of Watford's hidden gems that you'll want to return to.

We will stop at Cheslyn Gardens for you to enjoy the surroundings of the garden before heading back to Cassiobury Park. We can stop at the Rhubarb Café on the way back or go to the Cha when we return to the park.

New riders and children are always welcome and for this route.

Please bring a spare inner tube in case of a puncture as changing an inner tube is faster than repairing a puncture. Watford Cycle Hub sell inner tubes from £4 new.

Please check your bike is in good working order before the ride - especially that your brakes are working & your tyres are pumped.

If your bike might need a little more TLC or hasn't been ridden for a while, you can always bring it in for a free assessment; we're a Not-For-Profit, Community Enterprise and promise to give you an honest price if your bike needs fixing, fine tuning or a full service.
