Starting point

Hertfordshire
WD18 6LB

This route has just under 820 metres of climbing / 2686 ft and takes in a climb up to the Ashridge Estate and a descent down the Ivinghoe Beacon. We’ll pass the Pitstone Windmill and climb up and over into Aldbury, before the ascent up to Wigginton. From Wigginton there’s a fast, gradual descent through the country lanes, followed by a weave through Ashley Green, Whelpley Hill and Bovingdon Green before heading back through Flaunden and Sarratt to Watford Cycle Hub.

We will ride in close formation for group safety. As this is a faster paced ride please ensure that you feel able to meet this challenge when signing up for the ride.

Please bring two spare inner tubes and a debit card/money for refreshments.

Bikes must be in full working order for this ride.

Watford Cycle Hub are Not-For-Profit organisation that do free bike assessments and should your bike need a tune up or a full service will give you an honest price.
