Watford Cycle Hub: Cassiobury Park Special

This gentle route takes place entirely within Cassiobury Park. Riders can appreciate all the joys of Cassiobury Park - one of the Top Ten National Award Winning Green Flag Status Parks & Green Spaces! The route is mainly flat and is ideal for families and anyone looking to boost their confidence on a bike! :) Beginners & those who haven't cycled for ages are warmly welcome! :)

It's called the Cassiobury Park 'Special' because Watford Borough Council has granted us 'Special Permission' to ride certain paths normally off limits to cyclists. We thank the Council for their trust in us, and really look forward to taking you on this ride which we can only do a limited number of times per year - so it really is special & not one to miss! :)

You are warmly invited to stay on at The Cha Cafe after the ride for group social time over tea & homemade cake - though we understand if you have to get going after the ride to get home for Sunday lunch. :)

We usually recommend carrying a spare inner tube in case of a puncture, as changing an inner tube is faster than getting out the rubber glue. However, don't worry if you don't have one for this ride - you can simply walk back to the cafe if need be on this short ride round the park.

Please check your bike is in good working order before the ride - especially that your brakes are working & your tyres are pumped.
