Watford Cycle Hub: Canal & Nicky Line to the Grand Opening of the Dacorum Cycle Hub

A virtually traffic-free route at a Steady pace from Watford Cycle Hub to the Grand Opening of our new sister hub - The Dacorum Cycle Hub via the Grand Union Canal towpath & the Nicky Line. The pace will accommodate the group but will probably average around 7-9 mph over route. We will start out with the group doing the road ride to the opening of the Dacorum Cycle Hub, then peel off meandering along the canal towpath, past the Grove Hotel, through Kings Langley & Apsley & onto Hemel. We will take the subway under the Magic Roundabout & pick up the Nicky Line, just north of the town centre which will take us right to the Dacorum Cycle Hub! :) We'll soak up the atmosphere at the event & watch the Grand Opening by the Mayor at 1pm before returning to Watford Cycle Hub. If you want a shorter ride, you can take the train from Hemel Hemstead back to Watford Junction giving you around 16 miles of cycling in total. Please bring a spare inner tube just in case..., a drink, a snack & money if you want to buy anything.
