Waterside Wander - Weston Shore to Hamble

The route follows Southampton Water from Weston to Hamble taking in the views across to the New Forest and Calshot. We'll also have the opportunity to look at the history of Royal Victoria Country Park and the part the site played in military medical history.

Much of the route is on shared pathways with some on road riding through Netley and later into Hamble. As this is an entry level ride, we will use cycle infrastructure wherever possible and avoid busy roads.

There will be plenty of opportunities to stop to take in the views of Southampton Water or the history of Royal Victoria Country Park.

We especially welcome new riders wishing to discover new routes.

We will ride together at all times at an easy pace that everyone is comfortable with. Please bring a drink and a snack to keep you energised.

Make sure you wear clothing appropriate for the weather conditions and a cycle helmet. Please also bring a pump and spare inner tube that fits your bike if you have one.

This ride may be shortened dependent on the conditions and those attending. If you have any questions or concerns, please just message me. If feeling unwell closer to the ride and unable to attend, please cancel your place so we release it to someone else.
