Starting point

SR6 0GL

Roof of the National Glass Centre

Starting at the National Glass Center the route will follow the C2C cycle path along the river to Washington Wetlands Center for lunch and then back again. The route includes a few short steep banks but is otherwise mainly flat, riders are welcome to walk the steep parts if they wish. This is a relatively gentle ride for those new or returning to cycling, or those who simply enjoy a social ride. No riders will be left behind and the group will ride at the pace of the slowest rider. The path is mostly tarmacked; however there are some sections with loose/rough surface therefore a mountain or hybrid style bike would be advisable. Important Information Please check the website on the morning of the ride to make sure it has not been cancelled. Puncture repair equipment (minimum of a spare inner tube and pump) and working front and rear lights are essential for this ride. A helmet, lock, drink, waterproof and other suitable are also recommended, as is some money for lunch. Whilst every effort will be made to give you a safe and enjoyable ride, ride leaders are not responsible for you or your bike. Please make sure your bike, equipment and clothing are in good condition before joining the ride. Please arrive early as the ride will leave at the time stated.
