Wasdale - Britain's favourite view and no major climbs

Wasdale has been voted as Britain's favourite view. A linear route starting at Wasdale Head then along the lake shore to Nether Wasdale, before returning the same way. The Strands Inn in Nether Wasdale does coffee cake scones and sandwiches, so we will stop there for a cafe stop at the half-way point. No major hills, but it is rolling terrain. It is a narrow road. If we encounter a large vehicle, then as we are in no rush we will simply pull into the verge to let it pass. Much of the riding will need to be single file. We never whizz along at top speed, or leave anyone behind. It should be fun, especially if the weather is kind and we can get a good view of Scafell, GReat Gable, the screes and lake itself.
