Leave Hike & Bike Hub, walk across Douglas Bridge to join the shared cycle path. Follow shared path, alongside the Gala Water to Galafoot. Follow quiet country road alongside the river Tweed to Boleside and continue over the old Tweed Bridge. Stay on the shared path until joining Level Crossing Road, Selkirk which runs along past the Recycling Centre. This is a 20mph area. Re-join the shared path ahead, go over the bridge, turn left and follow shared path until it meets the A707. Turn right on to A707. Ride for 150m to first left into Ettrickhaugh Road. Stay on Ettrickhaugh Road and turn left opposite the entrance to the Cricket Club. Go over bridge and join shared path all the way to the Waterwheel Café. Return route is reverse of above!

Come and join a ride on our first ever Walking & Wheeling Festival! The route is mostly flat, and suitable for everyone. The main section of the ride will be along the shared path from Galashiels to Selkirk and return by same route after coffee stop at the Waterwheel Cafe.

This is an easy, mostly flat route. The main section of the ride will be along the shared path from Galashiels to Selkirk and short quiet road sections.

This is an easy ride with stops along the way as needed. Galafoot, by the river Tweed, and the old Tweed Bridge, over Ettrick water, are good stopping points with views! Our halfway stop will be the Waterwheel Cafe.

Helmets are recommended. Please consider wearing suncream and wearing (or bringing) a rainproof coat if the weather is looking changeable! You may also want to bring water or juice for the ride. Refreshments will be available for purchase at the Waterwheel Cafe, so please bring money.

First-timers welcome!
