Wakefield Wheel (Challenging & Steady)

We are the Wakefield District Cycle Forum. Sunday 26th October 2014: Anglers Challenging Cycle Ride. Wakefield Wheel. This cycle event is the forums challenging ride, but extended to take in the Wakefield Wheel route. It's around 38 miles and you should allow 4 hours to complete the ride. You should be comfortable with the distance and pace of around 12/13 mph avg. Theirs Squires Cafe at Anglers on your return for drinks. If your wanting something of a challenge for a Sunday morning, with good company, then this is for you. We also offer an option of a steadier ride around the Wakefield Wheel. This will be still a challenging ride, but in distance, not in pace. This option is as above distance and you should allow 6 hours at a steadier pace of 10/11 mph avg. We will be stopping at Stanley Ferry for a dinner break, so if you would like to bring a sandwich and a drink that's fine. In the past we have stopped at Pugney's for a comfort break and an ice cream! Meet outside Squires Cafe at 10:15 for a 10:30 start. More info, please contact Jeff Kitching [email protected].
