Wakefield - A Piece of Cake around Pontefract Park - 3 miler

This is a great route starting at Pontefract Racecourse, a mini circuit of the boating lake is completed before heading out for a lap of the racecourse. The lap will begin on the path on the inside of the racecourse before switching at halfway to the outside where riders can stride down the final furlongs to the finish. There is a little climb towards the end of the lap, rewarded with a downhill stretch to the finish. Additional laps could be completed for the adventourous types.
