Visit to the Vale

Starting from Coffi Co in Cardiff Bay (the original one), heading across the barrage, up the wiggles, around Penarth and down to the pier. We'll go back up the more gentle side and cut through to join the cycle path down to Cosmeston. Sticking to the main road and going past Cosmeston, when we get to the outskirts of Sully we head up the lanes to Dinas Powys, then along to Wenvoe, and up into Ely. Here its less pretty as we wind through the streets, crossing the river to Fairwater where we head back to Cardiff via Llandaff Cathedral, and down into the bay again.

Mostly country roads and quiet streets. Busier road past Cosmeston but there's a cycle path alongside if you prefer. Short section on main road near Wenvoe but we can take our time and cross on foot if the roundabout is busy.

A total ascent of 1049.2 ft, no long or steep hills :)

Coffi Co will be open if we need warming up before or after the ride :)
Cosmeston Cafe should be open if we need to stop there, possibly places in Dinas Powys or Ely too...
