Historic Churches- Odda's Chapel by the River Severn

Odda's Chapel is one of the most complete Saxon Chapel. The Earl of Odda (a relative of Edward the Confessor) built this chapel to remember his brother Aelfric in 1056.

The route out is Childswickham, Stanton, Stanway, Didbrook, Greet, Gretton, Gotherington, Tredington, Deerhurst. Deerhurst is at 20 miles.
Possible Coffee stop Gold and Black, Bishops Cleeve at 28 miles (slight detour) or Chow Shed at Toddington.
Route back is Deerhurst, Tredington, Gotherington, Gretton, B4078 to Wormington, Aston Somerville, Childswickham

Historic churches. Over the course of the year some rides will stop at some interesting churches in the locality. We will spend about 5 minutes depending on the interest of the group. There is usually a collection box inside if you wish to use it.

This ride is visiting Odda's Chapel, Deerhurst

We will cycle along mostly quiet country lanes but with a small sections on B4632, A38 (cycle path), B4213 and B4078

Helmets are compulsory. Please bring a spare inner tube.
