MTB ride PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE TWO ROAD SECTIONS ON BUSY ROADS WHICH WILL DO BOTH OUTWARD AND INWARD JOURNEY Come and join us on a ride through cycle paths, bridle ways and a couple of sections on the road. Starting in Hindley talking the ride all the way through to the Victoria Tea Rooms at Dam House, Tyldesley. This ride is approximately 19 miles long and has two sections that you will need road skills but is mainly geared to paths for a mountain bike or hybrid with off road tyres. This route is not suitable for road bikes, hybrids with slick tyres nor trailers. The stopping point will be at the delightful Dam House, were you are able to purchase food and drink - so please bring money if you wish to buy from the tea room. As this is a longer ride and also has road sections, anyone thinking of bringing their children along please speak to me first to assess their ability (or try one of the other shorter rides first) Ideally you should wear a helmet and it is really useful for the leaders if you bring a spare inner tube as this is easier to fix punctures en route (however, don't let this put you off from attending if you haven't got one). Bring enough fluids and snacks for the duration of the ride and any additional clothing you may need (especially if we have rain forecast).
