King Rufus pub car park in Chandlers Ford

Although this ride is only 13.5 miles it is, in my opinion, quite a tough ride with some hills up through Otterborne. However, we will be keeping to roads where there are footpaths that if you need to, you can push your bike. But don't let this put you off because this is an extremely scenic ride. We will start at the King Rufus pub in Chandlers Ford and then cycle down through Otterborne as far as Kiln Lane. We wind our way along Kiln Lane to the end and then turn left down into Tywford. At the other side of Twyford is where we pick up the cycle path along the Itchen Way. We will only be doing part of the Itchen Way on this ride and head over the viaduct. If you can block out the motorway noise the scenery from the viaduct is great. Then we head back up through Compton and Otterborne. At the top of Otterborne hill we can vote to do coffee at the Otter or wait until we get back to the Rufus.
