This ride is about the climb rather than the distance. See the elevation below. We’ll take a meandering route to reach South Hill Estate before making the ascent up Mount Park Road. We’ll then proceed along High Street to make a final steep climb to Harrow’s iconic St Mary’s Church.

As well as being able to take in the views, we’ll have refreshments in the Spire Cafe. https://ni7017.wixsite.com/spirecafeharrow

Our return journey takes us through Harrow Schools playing fields and Northwick Park. It involve a stretch known as the Ducker Path. This is narrow and can be muddy after heavy rain. Therefore, this ride is not suitable for bikes with skinny tyres.

This ride coincides with Heritage Open Day. St Mary's Church will be open and guided tours will take place. There may be an opportunity to climb the tower.

Any riders wishing to extend their stay can leave the ride and make their own way home. Please ensure you sort out your route in advance.

Route rating

5 stars (1) Reviews

A short ride with a big climb.

Mostly on quiet road, cycle tracks and paths.

Refreshments at the Spire Cafe and a chance to take in the views from the top of Harrow's Hill.

Bring a spare tube, tools to fix a puncture and a card or cash for the cafe.

We never leave anyone behind
