Exploring the country lanes that escape the towns and into the countryside between the former industrial hubs of Wigan and St Helens. Starting from Three Sisters we take the back lanes up through the small towns of Garswood and Billinge to our turning point at Rainford Junction. As the road rises and falls we pass from town to countryside. The return features views of Billinge Hill to the north and across the Lancashire plain to the south and west towards St Helens and on a clear day Liverpool docks. A rest at the Barn at Fir Tree Farm on the return gives an opportunity to rest legs before the final undulations back to Three Sisters.

Escape the town and into the country exploring the lumps and bumps between Wigan and St Helens.

A mix of back lanes and quieter roads that zig zag out of the towns and village and through the country side

The Barn at Fir Tree Farm near Kings Moss has a growing reputation with cyclist stopping for a coffee and a cake or ice cream.

We especially welcome newbies!
