Worsbrough Country Park, Barnsley

If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour. Come and join us on this lovely countryside route around the foothills of the Pennines.  Starting at the beautiful Worsbrough Country Park we head west and quickly pick up the quieter country roads while passing through the interesting villages before having a breather in Wortley at its lovely tea room.  We carry on this circular route by touching the Trans Pennine trail and descending via glorious views to Wentworth castle.  This ride is 14 miles long but does take us up and down some hills of the area so it’s perfect for those wanting to do some hills but not the miles!  We will be taking the ride a nice enjoyable pace, with so much to see and do packed in to this ride we hope you are ‘Up’ for a Grand Day Out
