A ride designed to get you down and dirty on two wheels , a mixture of quick trail stints , brook crossing , field crossing , pavement burning and towpath sliding. Warning you will get wet , you will get dirty , you may fall off. A short ride with mix elements. With the occasional thrill of danger , with the trails armed with encosed near embankment drop offs. A first trail/ ride by myself to give riders a tester of the more intesive rides to come soon. definatly a fun filled ride, a mix of pace in the trail , may be advised that you should be able to lift up your bike wiht ease as the occasional fence will need to be overcome. The ride starts off with a nice tarmac pace of around 1mile then onto a canal based section for a mile (roughly) then it hits the field base for 1/2 mile over uneven sections to test your leg power , then back onto a tarmac section for 2 miles with some pace staking hill sections. Then into the urban area to hit a small woodland trail with side drop offs , low hanging trees , puddles ,mud and sharp turns (1/4 mile length). The trail then hits a gated area , negoatiate through the gate then onto a mixed terrain trail. Starting off with a brief grassed area , through the overgrown growth ... watch out for the stinging nettles !!-- across a small brooke and into dense grass over growth , through grass section again and over a bridge then onto a gravel / mud path around a nature pond. (1/4 mile) then navigate through another gate back onto a tarmac section for 1/4 mile. Then it hits into another nature pond with a gravel track (1/5 mile) which is lovely and smooth. Then back onto the tarmac section for 5 miles back to the start destination. any bike other then a road bike can be used although it is adviseable that your bike has front suspension.
