Up and Down to Castle Howard

Cars to Helmsley, then we ride out through Harome, Muscoates, West and East Ness, then down through South Holme and Slingsby before taking on the undulating hills that go up and down to Castle Howard. We’ll enjoy a picnic in the grounds of the Castle, and a chance for you to look around if you wish, before we complete the return journey in reverse. Recommended parking in Helmsley is on Cleveland Way, which is to the west of the market place and is a long-stay parking facility. You cannot park in the market place for more than 2 hours (short-stay). Up to 6 hours parking in Cleveland Way car park costs £4.00.
