Two Loops from Leamington (part two)

This is Part Two of a ride making a figure of eight.
You are welcome to sign up for one or both rides!
Our refreshment break will be in the middle of the figure of eight route at the Printmakers Workshop from approximately 11am - 11:30am so join us there if you'd like to.

For this section we'll head west from the Lift Bridge towards Fountainbridge, crossing at lights to join the shared path through Sauchiebank, Russell Road and Roseburn Park.

We'll follow the Water of Leith path past Saughton Gardens, across Gorgie Road and onward to the Water of Leith Centre. Turning left we'll make our way along to Slateford station and turn up the hill to join the canal towpath at Meggetland Sports Centre.

The canal towpath leads us back to our starting point at Leamington.

A route almost all on shared paths with just a short section on a main road which has a cycle lane.

Bring cash/card for the cafe if you want to purchase anything there, or bring your own snack if you prefer.
Please bring a bike lock if you have one, a spare inner tube for your bike and tools to remove your wheel if not quick release - and/or have a means of getting home if you are unable to complete the ride for any reason (eg friend/taxi/rescue insurance). Helmets are recommended.
