This is Part One of a ride making a figure of eight.
You are welcome to sign up for one or both rides!
Our refreshment break will be in the middle of the figure of eight route at the Printmakers Workshop from approximately 11am - 11:30am so join us there if you'd like to.

For our first loop we'll circle the canal basin before heading through the Meadows and across town towards Parkside. Just before the Commonwealth Pool, we'll turn left and cycle through the leafy grounds of Pollock Halls, passing the Confucius Institute.

We'll then cycle along the quieter back roads of the Grange, follow a short section of Lovers Loan path, then through Sciennes to join the shared path up to Bruntsfield Links.

A welcome downhill run takes us back to the Leamington Lift Bridge where the first loop ends.
We'll finish with refreshments at the Printmakers Workshop, just a little way along from the Lift Bridge. Here there is a secluded courtyard with plenty of cycle parking with outdoor and indoor seating at Cafe Kuba.

The route is on shared paths and quiet roads. As we cross west-east and then east-west between the Meadows, Pollock Halls and Bruntsfield we will use junctions controlled by traffic lights.

Bring cash/card for the cafe if you want to purchase anything there, or bring your own snack if you prefer.
Please bring a bike lock if you have one, a spare inner tube for your bike and tools to remove your wheel if not quick release - and/or have a means of getting home if you are unable to complete the ride for any reason (eg friend/taxi/rescue insurance). Helmets are recommended.

Newcomers welcome!
