Twixmas Ride for a Mince Pie

We will take the cycle path from Burrs and pick up the main road towards Bolton, turn off to Lowercroft and climb to Affetside where we will pause to admire the Christmas tree and enjoy a mince pie. From Affetside we will start our descent and then turn left towards Harwood and cycle through Ainsworth and back down towards Bury where we will pick up the cycle path back to Burrs Country Park. This is a hilly ride not suitable for beginners but we will pause to catch our breath when we need to.

Some cycle paths, quieter roads, main roads with junctions, gentle and steep inclines.

No planned cafe stop but we can decide if we want a brew and snack at the end of the ride.

Helmets are compulsory. Wear suitable clothing for the time of year. Ensure your bike is in good working condition with tyres pumped up and have lights available as it's Winter. Please bring a spare inner tube for your bike and a pump and cash or bank card for a drink and snack at the end if we decide to do this.
