Newton Lane, Darlington, DL3 9EZ (outer edge of town)

Starting on Newton Lane, on the outskirts of Darlington, this ride takes us through Archdeacon Newton, Walworth Gate, up Houghton bank and briefly on the A68. We travel through Bolam, Morton Tinmouth, Hilton, Langton, Little Newsham, Whorlton, Westwick, past Bowes Museum into Barnard Castle. We stop here for our café stop. We return via Marwood, Kinninvie, through Staindrop, Langton, Headlam, joining the B6279 briefly, before turning and traveling past Walworth Castle. From here, we retrace our route through Walworth Gate, Archdeacon Newton, to our starting point in Newton Lane.
