Tuesday Breeze Stevenage to The Loft via Shillington from Hampson Park

This is a slightly more challenging ride of around 33 miles to The Loft in Shefford. We will meet at Hampson Park, Webb Rise, Stevenage SG1 5QU 9.20am for a briefing and bike check and will aim to leave by 9.30am. There is free parking at this venue and is the correct side of town to head out to this route.

The pace will be steady no one gets left behind. There are a few hills and we will wait at the top to enable everyone to ride at their own pace.

We will be taking the cycle route out from Stevenage and over to Great Wymondley, The Green Man and then to St Michaels Mount and into Hitchin. We will then follow the route out to Ickleford, Holwell and Pirton before turning to Shillington and then going out to Campton and on to Shefford.

The return route is very direct and shorter and uses some dedicated cycle tracks for our safety.

Mainly quiet roads once we have left the towns of Letchworth and Hitchin.

The Loft at Shefford where they provide a range of fresh cooked lunches, cakes, toasties and more.

Helmet, spare inner tube and pump to suit valve type, water, suitable clothing for weather conditions and card/cash for refreshments.
