**** This UK Guided Ride starts with a 30 min information session about what to expect from a time trial, brought to you by a Level 2 road/TT qualified British Cycling Coach, followed by a steady ride.****
We will meet at the car park (this is where the registration for the TT will take place) for the information/coaching session, then begin our route with a suggested warm up. We will take a moment to stop at the starting point, complete the TT course, and then return to the car park.
The TT course description for the Aberdesach Llanaelhaearn 10 mile TT is: Starting at the Aberdesach layby on the A499. Proceed south West from Aberdesach turning back at Llanaelhaearn roundabout.
On A roads.
Ideal for riders who want to challenge themselves and have fun! And those who are new to Guided rides are very welcome. This is a great introduction to those who are interested in completing a time trial for the first time.
This ride is classified as ‘steady’ because we will be completing the ride at an average pace of approx. 20kph (12mph). Please be sure you are confident that you can keep to this pace before signing up.
This ride is weather dependent. We won't ride if there are strong winds (20mph+) or it is pouring with rain.
This ride is 'no frills' as there is NO café stop. We will have some roadside stops to have a drink/snack (bring your own).
WHAT TO BRING:
A drink and snacks for the ride
Clothes suitable for the weather
A helmet
Repair kit and spare inner tube
Make sure your bike is in good working order with the tyres pumped up before arriving on the ride
I always carry extra supplies (just in case!): sweets; water; period products; first aid kit; and puncture repair patches. So please let me know if you ever need anything.
Please do let me know if there’s anything I need to know or can do to help to make this ride more accessible for you.
