About the route
Starting point
Outside main gates of John Of Gaunt School (Wingfield Road entrance). Street parking available in Avenue Road and Wingfield Road
A 24 mile ride from Trowbridge via Bradford On Avon and then along the towpath and a few country lanes to and through the Bath 2 Tunnels, returning via the same route.
This ride is mainly off road and the tow path will require a hybrid/mountain bike and will be quite muddy. The route is fairly flat but there are a few undulating lanes as you approach the 2 tunnels.
We will stop on the way back at the Angelfish cafe for drinks and cake!
The ride is very scenic crossing 2 aquaducts, passing Midford Castle and finally cycling through the 2 tunnels.
