Meeting at the Hirst Lock Car Park avoids the congested roads of Saltaire This ride is in another in our Tribute to Billie Fleming series, who as part of her epic year long ride in 1938, covered 29,604 miles. Her travels during the latter part of the the year have been difficult to trace, but the aim is still to have women riding on each day and it would be very satisfying to add our combined mileage to the sum being accumulated by other women throughout this very special year. For full information try www.tributetobillie.co.uk Our ride today will take us along the recently upgraded towpath to Hollybush Farm, the Conservation Volunteers centre at Kirkstall. It will be about 22 miles but will be at an easy pace. No one gets left behind! We are out to enjoy ourselves. I would advise that you bring a drink and a snack for top ups along the way, also some money for refreshments when we stop. Newcomers to Breeze rides are very welcome. Dress appropriately for the weather: several thin layers are best and a rain jacket could come in handy. Wearing a helmet is advisable, though not essential. The towpath can get muddy after rain, so please bear this in mind when choosing what to wear for the ride My number on the day is :- 07940 975 971 I look forward to you joining us.
