Starting from - We meet at Little Bowden recreation ground, next to the allotments. If needed, there is parking at the recreation ground car park on Scotland Road- the entrance is between houses and quite hard to spot so look for a blue sign. LE16 8AX

We leave Harborough along the undulating Braybrooke Road and keep on that country road, crossing the Harborough by-pass until we reach Desborough. We go straight through Desborough, back out into the Northamptonshire countryside heading for Rushton. The Triangular Lodge is on the right - it's easily missed!

The Triangular Lodge is an astonishing building in the care of English Heritage. There are 3s everywhere: 3 floors, 3 sides, 3 gables etc etc. We're visiting it on one of just 3 days it's open this year. Entry is free.

Although we cross a couple of busy roads, the roads we're riding on are mostly quiet country roads.

There will be a good break to explore the Triangular Lodge and enjoy a coffee stop back in Great Bowden. We'll also stop for breathes and drinks along the way.

Helmets must be worn on this ride. It's a good idea to bring a water bottle, some money and the means to replace an inner tube.

We ride at a gentle pace, chatting as we go. Novice riders are particularly welcome and we never leave anyone behind.
