(0) ReviewsWe are riding on Cycle Paths, minor roads and Bridleways around Andover. We will cycle to Picket Twenty, Rooksbury Mill, Charlton Park, Anton lakes and back to Andover Baptist Church. There with a short stop for the children to play. This is a family ride and is short to encourage new riders and families to give it a try. Depending upon who comes along the pace will be steady, about 7 mph, but don't worry if you are not sure, nobody gets left behind.
A fun cycle ride for the whole family. We want everyone to enjoy the ride and come back with big happy smiling faces. Most of the ride is on Cycle Paths, minor roads and Bridleways. Any bike type is welcome so long as it’s in working order (though only use knobbly tyres if you know you can do the distance ok). Make sure your tyres are well inflated A cycle helmet is compulsory.
We will stop in Charlton Park for a time for the children to play in the play ground and have a drinks, snack etc. Charlton Pavilian should be operating summer hours and therefore open so we can buy hot drinks and use their loos. We will then return to Andover Baptist Church. There are loos at Andover Church which we can use before and after the ride.
• A cycle helmet is compulsory. • Bring a spare inner tube that fits your wheels, tyre levers and pump (plus puncture repair kit if you have one). • Also bring water and money for our coffee stop / bike lock. • Please wear clothing appropriate for the weather (layers work well when it's colder and waterproofs can help with windchill as well as rain). • Suntan lotion • Also lights are recommended to warn other riders and drivers when we are on roads.
We never leave anyone behind
