Group Ride for riders that are looking to ride longer distances at a faster speed, average 12-14 m/h.
Some Hammersmith and Fulham cyclists are getting ready for Ride London-Essex 100 miles, others for London to Brighton. We can all practice together to improve speed and endurance.
This week we will ride from Paddington to Epping Forest and back to Marylebone. This is a loop ride starting from Paddington Recreation Ground, continuing to Hampstead, East Finchley, Chipping Barnet, Enfield, Epping Forest, Walthamstow Wetlands, Islington and back to Marylebone. This is a challenging ride of 43 miles with a 1550 ft elevation.
We will ride in a group, each one of us will take the lead for 2-3 miles. You can download the route to your Garmin or a smartphone. If you don't want to lead or you can't download the route, that's fine. We would like to cycle at an average speed of 12-14 m/h. Please note that this is a training ride from 8 am to 12 pm. We will not be stopping for any refreshments.
