This is a fantastic route along the beautiful cycle paths, woodland trails and farmland trails. Some quiet roads to join to the trails.

Our route starts at the Sandall Beat Wood car park and proceeds around the trails of the wood and heading into Shaw Wood. Then the quiet roads through Armthorpe to the farmland trails leading to Branton. We then take trails past the Wildlife park and the Hayfield fishing lake. Then through the quiet roads of Rossington on to the Greenway trail, then Rake's Lane past Annabels cafe and onward to Potteric Carr nature reserve for our main stop (Bicycles can be taken through the entrance to rest on the patio by the lake out back where the cafe is located - see my pictures). Then our return trip takes us over the railway line and past the edge of Potteric Carr briefly along the red path and white path of Bessacar. Then past Doncaster Racecourse and back to the car park at Sandall Beat Wood.

This is a social ride together as a group. We pause the ride for punctures sustained. Ultimately riders are individually responsible for their own bike maintenance and own safety. It is always advised helmets are worn, use a bike lock, and bring tools and spares to repair a puncture etc. (Most important is bring a spare inner tube and pump). Check the ride distance, elevation, duration, terrain and bicycle type of this ride is compatible with your ability and bicycle.

Bring cash/card for cafe.

New riders to the group are very welcome.
We may take some photos during the ride for promoting future rides. If you don't wish to be in any photos, please let me know before the ride.

Note, to join the ride you must book on to the ride using the ‘Lets Ride’ website. Also, please check the website prior to the ride time in the event of ride cancellation.
