About the route
From High Green we ride to Elsecar where we join the Trans Pennine Trail to Wakefield, via Barnsley. Parts of the trail are rough so not suitable for road bikes.
Once at Wakefield we stop for refreshments at the lovely Anglers Country Park. It might be an idea to take sandwiches but there is a cafe.
