About the route
This 11 mile ride takes the canal towpath from Whilton locks to Barunston Marina, where we can enjoy a coffee stop on the Gongoozlers Rest - a cafe inside a narroboat moored outside the Marina! We will then head back along the same route to Whilton Locks.
The ride follows the towpath the whole way with the exception of a path that goes over the tunnel at braunston. So only one hill on this route. This ride would suit beginner riders. Hybrids with offroad tyres or MTBs suitable. Please be aware that the canal towpath can be muddy. We will ride rain or shine so bring a waterproof!
