Towcester - Towcester and Canal - 16 miler

A pleasant ride through the countryside north of Towcester. Following mostly quiet country roads there are a few challenging hills but these give great views of the lovely hills and valleys. The route follows part of the historic Grand Union Canal where you are likely to see both working and holiday canal boats in action. The only cafe on route is at Bells Plantation as you are heading back into Towcester on a short section of the A5. There is a cafe at the leisure centre at the start/end serving Costa Coffe. Feel free to bring a snack and you can stop at the half-way point on the canal.
