Tour of the South Hams - the long route 10-11mph avr

Tour of the south hams taking in country lanes scenery with plenty of hills and exhilarating fast descents. despite the distance this is a challenging ride with a lop around cornwood first before we head to yealmbridge.
We shall start from coypool park and ride in plympton climbing up Hemerdon to Sparkwell and onwards to Cornwood from there an undulating a scenic narrow country lanes to Smithaleigh. We shall head towards Yealmpton but not quit and take the turning into Dunstone to our second big climb, half way on this hill we shall reach our refreshment stop at the Shire Horse Centre cafe, roughly 2 hours into the ride so bring snacks and plenty of water to keep you going until then.
Refreshed we shall resume Dunstone hill climb and head towards Ermington with a small section on the A379. from Ermington the usual route to ivybridge back to our start point in Coypool.
IMPORTANT, Please note: For safety reasons all participants will be expected to wear a helmet.
There will always be a section large or small where we will be cycling on roads so riders must be confident cycling with traffic.

*pennies for refreshment *snacks * appropriate clothing for the weather.
